The Leader I Want to Be
A mentor whom I have briefly looked up to is Lionor Galindo Cardenas, who currently serves as the Special Projects Coordinator at the United Farm Workers (UFW). I admire her leadership skills, particularly her punctuality, responsibility, and effective communication. From the time I started my journey with UFW, I have witnessed her remarkable work ethic and organizational skills. Analyzing her leadership abilities, I have found that she consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to the organization's mission and values while always being punctual. Regardless of a busy schedule, she remains on time and meets deadlines, setting a positive example that emphasizes the importance of honoring commitments and being accountable.
Another aspect I highly appreciate is her consistent ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly. In my experience, I have not seen anyone else excel at it as much as she does. She actively listens to others and provides thoughtful and constructive feedback. When guiding others, she is clear and concise, making it significantly easier for me to understand expectations. Her leadership style sets a high standard of excellence and professionalism, motivating and empowering me to perform at my best. Additionally, her background as a former farmworker inspires me because I have not personally seen someone achieve as much success in this field.
Overall, Lionor's strong work ethic, punctuality, and effective communication have inspired me to maintain the same level of consistency and communication within my organization. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and have her as a mentor in my professional journey. I am excited to witness her future accomplishments!
